A few days after my nephew was born, I went out for a visit with my camera to take some family and newborn photos of my brother and sister-in-law and their two boys. It was a fun session, and a pretty typical one for a photo session that included both […]
It’s been a while since my last blog / update! I have been busy with an intensive Russian course for the last nine weeks that entailed 20 hours a week of dedicated class time, not to mention classwork and studying. An entire year of Russian in two months was more difficult than I expected it to be and for that reason I’m a bit behind.
Leanna & Mikey got married in Bellingham, Washington at the Lairmont Manor on July 26. It was a lot of fun going back to the Lairmont almost exactly a year after Randy and I got married there. I had been looking forward to meeting up with the happy couple for several months. Their engagement session was a ton of fun, and I knew that Leanna had a lot of fun ideas up her sleeve. And I was not disappointed!
But more than the fun things she had planned, it was so lovely to be involved in a wedding that was so obviously about celebrating love. It was a small, intimate group of people and nearly everyone helped. The ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt with two separate readings given by both a bridesmaid and groomsman, and vows written by both Leanna and Mikey, one of which had a difficult time making their way through them without getting too emotional (I won’t give you away, though it was pretty endearing ;) ).
Leanna & Mikey — you’re a beautiful couple and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to play a part in your special day. I hope the honeymoon was magnificent and that you enjoy your sneak peek. Hopefully your full gallery isn’t too far behind. :)
