I recognize that this is an odd focal point for a photographer — why not newborns or families in general? The answer, quite simply, is that these are my most favorite families to photograph and that the dynamics are my favorite parts of newborn sessions.
It’s the newness, the excitement, the love-saturated, hopeful terror that I relish capturing for you.
This is all of your love made manifest in another, tiny human being, and I want to be there to frame and freeze the emotions for you — each of them — so that you can remember everything, from maternity to baby’s first birthday, I’m interested in photographing more than just fingers & toes (though I do those, too) — I’m here to bottle up all of that potent love so that looking at one of the pictures is like falling into Dumbledore’s pensieve. (And yes, I just went there with a Harry Potter reference.)
